Low Self-esteem

Possessing little self-regard can lead people to depression, anxiety, and more, falling short of their potential, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love, on the other hand, results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failures (It can also be a sign of clinical narcissism).

Self-esteem counseling can help you understand how self-esteem develops, understand how cognitive distortions develop, learn about your strengths and positive qualities, learn to re-build your confidence, and learn to build self-compassion.

The perception that people have about their past or future selves is related to the perception of their current self. If there are struggles with either the past or future perception, people may have increased stress, anxiety, and depression. Reviewing these perceptions can allow a person to re-align their self identity and move forward.
